Icon4 B18C with b16a2 Head Questions and help.

Alright. Well I have a '00 Si Civic. The bottom end is burning oil and I just picked up a b18C long block. I want to use the B16 head off the motor from my car with the b18C bottom end. My question is what timign belt do I use? A Gsr timing belt or maybe a civic is timing belt. I thought that the type-R Integra's used a Gsr bottom end with a b16 style head, so maybe I should get a type-R belt?

I will be using the B18C water pump. So I think I need ethier the GSR timing belt or Type-R, i am sure someone knows.

Also is there anything else I have to do?I can't think of anything that I have to change really.. besdies the parts from the a2 to my b18C,
thank you guys!!

Sorry about adding to the billion count. I looked around but couldn't find a clear answer.

So with the build I am putting gsr cam shafts in the b16 head and such. I guess my b18c bottom ends creates around 178 Hp, what should I expect with everything ( cams and b16 head ) for hp. Ia m sure it is not very much 5-11 hp..

Sorry for the ignorant questions.. I am a Supra guy that is getting into Honda's as well, and well I am just checking every corner before I venture to it.

Well I guess I will have to do that! My gasket kit should be in tomorrow. So I will start the assembly very soon.

Why use the B16 head? It will only flow a hair better and you lose the quench pads. The only advantage is that there are more aftermarket intake manifolds available.

I have a JDM b18C long block. I don't need the head and it is mint. I am going to use the b16 head off my motor out of the car, and slap on the gsr cams.. I don't like the gsr intake manifolds really.. to much stuff, and it is not needed.

So basically I will be close to a poor mans type-r, I just don't have the valve train or the proper pistons.. Oh well I would just like my car to run right now..
