89 Honda Accord Dx, What is a good light weight/strong materail to make a fully custom dashboard? It will be of my own design.

either 18 or 16 gage.

 

CF would be cool, i've never used it but i heard its a pretty versatile material when you're trying to shape it. just the $30/square foot issue (or was it meter?).

 

Fiberglass.

 

I'm thinking I'll use Aluminum for the framework and I've had allot of people wanting to see CF as the main material for the dash so, thats what I'll be doing. I have to also fit it for the door trim and the other interior parts as well.

 

I'd wrap the frame in fleece, fiberglass it then over lay it with cf.
