Default si head on dx block?

I got a 89 crx dx and a 88-91si head (not sure what year it is) i was wondering if i would be able to just bolt it up to my D15B2 block and if i have to swap any other parts out to do this? ill try and put some pictures up of it as i work on it. the head has some rust on it and needs to be cleand up some one of my friends told me to spray it down wit wd40 and wrap it in a bag and let it sit for a day does this sound like it will work?

It's the same casting so you aren't really going to gain anything.
Just swap out the cam if you really want to change anything.

Best idea would to be swapping the ECU and intake manifold from the Si to your DX and then looking into an Si cam.

Well said.

I mean if you need to swap parts just to run you can throw the DPFI stuff on the A6 cast head and be ok.

If I remember you might need to mess with timing a bit.

+1. That is a very cost effective method. You can go to a junkyard and get those part that are mentioned in the quote.

Isn't the only difference between the two heads the profiling of the cam anyway?

you only need to remove the 10 head bolts holding it in place...5 on the top and 5 on the bottom side...just pry it gently off with a flat head screw driver since the headgasket might be all worn out holding it together to the block...!!!
