I'm thinking of buying a 87 crx si m/t it runs well enough, isn't in the best shape exterior wise but good interior and only one rust spot. I did an extensive search on here but didn't find a substantial thread for this info. Anyway I wanna know if 88-91 crx parts are interchangable with the 87 because almost all websites only list parts for the 88-91. I'm mainly looking for clutch/flywheel, short shifter, exhaust, and body parts. I'm gonna rebuild the engine but keep it completly stock. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for your time.

 

Everything you just listed wont work except maybe the shifter. I know from having both the 3rd and 4th gens. The tranny on your 87 has a smaller flywheel and clutch, body parts wont match either.

 

Dang, that sucks. Now I don't even know if it's worth getting. I talked the guy down to 500 which is dirt cheap especially since this will just be a daily driver beater car, but I was hopin to make it a little fun. Thanks a lot for your input
