new car: eg hatch or ek coupe?
So 2009 hasn't been my best year and the only thing thats cheering me up is idea's for a new project. Im stuck between a eg hatch and a ek coupe. I want to start them as shell's and go from the ground up(body work if needed,paint,int.,ext.,wire tuck,brake tuck,roll cage,wheels, suspension blah blah blah). Obviously this wont happen over night which is why i wanna make it my new project so what would the members of honda tech like to see? Im gonna post up a thread as soon as i get it but first i need decide on what to get so let me know hat you thibk.
yeah forgot to mention i have ctr 5 lug that will go on after paint. so im gonna change suspenion to full coil overs. but stock to stock i agree. i had an eg with an h22 before and it rode pretty good for having a big motor like that lol. now keeping the ctr 5 lug in mind which do you think will be good?

lol ek's are dope but yeah eg's are super clean plus im really pushing to get a roll cage and i think eg's make them look better but i still got 2 weeks before i get my shell so im still looking for more opinions but good looking on the your thoughts,this is what i was looking for.
It seems to me that everyone and there dog has a hatch...but im not out that often LOL I have my good old Coupe, i think it has more of a sport look to it
ok so it seems like mostly EG owners are saying EG's and the EK owners are saying EK's (like most people would) but there has been EF hatch lovers too. maybe some pic's to convince me?

All USDM "EK" coupes are really EJs except EM1s... I think. At least, my 00 is.

ya EK coupe = EJ
well i have an EJ, and my uncle has an EG.. i honestly can't decide between the two. both are black, tinted windows, and Si's (the EJ is a Canadian Si, aka USDM EX coupe...our SiR is the EM1) and are fun to drive (though i say the EG takes it in that department!! but it has a few more mods too). however, i would never trade mine. because it is a dd, ride comfort and age are huge factors for me. the EJ just feels more solid because of how much more comfortable it is in the stock form..
however my plan is to buy the EG off my uncle and to mod that for autox/track and to keep the EJ as a dd/autox.
In stock form:
EJ>EG comfort, age
EG>EJ driveability, modability
EJ=EG style IMO (if both are fixed up, otherwise i like the stock EJ better)

Drive both, see which one you like more. It's hard to tell from initial drive though.
I have an EK coupe and sold my EG coupe for it. Have never really been able to get into the whole EK coupe thing. Miss my ej1 dearly
