Default Has anyone ever installed window switches on manual panels?

I bought the front window switches for my eg Civic sedan and I was going to cut a hole for them instead of buying power window door panels but the space they should go looks too small for them to fit.

I know this has been done on coupes but has it been done on sedans?
If so does anyone have pictures?

Are you talking about the driver's switch or passenger's? i just mounted my drivers switch on the outside, by poking 4 holes in the panel & tying it down just in front of the door handle. The wires run through the orig crank hole. it may look shitty, but it works. Seems to me the door panels are the 2nd thing to disappear off a junk car, after the ECU. If by some miracle there IS a door panel, its all effing dirty & greasy & torn up.
