Well my dad finally got a d60, so i decided to try it out. let me know what you think of my photo's as far as angle/lighting etc. critique is welcomed.

My car is the lude and my buddy josh has the EK.

(i know the iso is too high and it will be turned down for the next shoot. also i messed with no levels in PS, just stroked and watermarked them.)

and as far as the cars go, flame away :-D

My buddy Josh's K20 swapped and boosted EK Hatch.

 

Pretty clean cars, where in IA (like where in the state, I saw the town but I don't know where thats at lol) are you guys? I am in MO (NW MO) about 30 min south of the IA border... don't see too many cars from the area.

 

We are both from marshalltown, its about an hour NE of des mones. pretty much right in the middle.

That prelude is nice, but that K20+T hatch takes the cake. The color on both of those is really nice too.


Your angles are little too "high" if that makes sense. Try bending at the knees more next time. We see cars like that all the time so change it up a bit.

 

very interested in the lude please post pic of the bay i have friends with them and there is no aftermarket support for them just like to see what you have done with it

 

Preludes really nice. Some of the pics are a little blurry. Tripod? Also try to minimize the amount of junk in the background. The 3rd pic would be great if you cut out the restaraunt and were a little closer to the car. Thats a cool looking building.

 

Both cars are really nice! That EK has to get down pretty good. Is it Laguna Seca Blue from the E46 M3?

and yeah i see what you mean about getting a little lower. the cars do look better when shot lower.

thanks, and the bay is a mess right now. I got everything but the bay painted when the car was sprayed this summer. right now its just bolt ons, but when i do my h22 swap sometime in the future the bay will get the attention it deserves. i just ran out of funds because of college. someday tho, lol.

you are correct sir, laguna seca blue it is. The Ek pulls so hard its crazy. i want to swap and boost my lude now because of riding in this thing.

thanks guys, i appreciate it. and no problem, i hope to do another shoot sometime when i go back home from college.

but i know what you mean. the 3rd gen lude isn't nearly as appreciated as it should be. the car handles like a dream and the gearing makes it a blast to drive. to bad there aren't more people willing to work on them, because they are worth every cent.

 

Don't see many of those prelude around anymore, nice job.

 

you need to work on your angles and your focus. your focus point is off in a lot of shots. that blue ek could be really nice i feel like, but the harsh lighting on the paint is killin it for me.

 

its a brand new camera and has WAYYYY more options that i know how to use yet. i see what you are saying about the focus and the light tho. it is just a tad to harsh in a couple of these shots, i'll agree with you on that.

i'll keep an eye out for all these things next time.

thanks. i've had a couple people say that about mine. usually they don't like ludes but there is something special about mine, lol. i appreciate it tho.

thanks, and the side skirts and rear are actually off a 94-95 accord. front is a mugen replica from a 90-91 teg.

thanks, and bad news on the hatch. i talked to josh and it looks like it will be gone by this saturday. he's picking up an o4 STI the same day if the guy comes through with the money. we'll see.

BOTH LOOK GREAT! SOME PICS LITTLE OUT OF FOCUS. TRY A TRIPOD OR SETTING THE ISO LOWER. TRY EXPERMENTING WITH DIFFERENT FILTERS. WITH THE DITING RY THE NEGITIVE ONE IT WOULD LOOK REALLY COOL WITH A COUPLE OF YOUR POSSES. HOPE HE KEEPS THE HATCH
