Default looking to purchase cams, need assistance

Hey all, I am new to building motors, usually just swap it in and drive em. I recently acquired a civic coupe with a gsr swapped into it. The head has had a port and polish, and omni valvetrain(springs, retainers, valves). BC cams were highly recommended to me by my good friend and while browsing the website the stage 2's seemed to fit my needs. There are two versions but I am going to go with the less aggressive one since I am keeping stock rev limit on it. I just want to know if anything is gonna get messed up since I am mixing up different companies products as I am sure the BC spring package is probably designed to work with the cams I have chosen.

I would put a set of itr cams or just change your intake cam to a ctr cam save you the money you need to bump your compression up to run bc cams or skunk cams.

True, a few friends have suggested that route, although I saw this thread and it gave me some hope, although I realize some motors may just be freaks.

There are a lot of dynos with different cams on motors similar to yours. You have a good valve train, so using cams as small as the ITR/CTR cams is wasteful.

Take a good look at the BC3+.

he want's to keep his STOCK rev limit so Buddy Club 3's are probably his best bet.

Does he mean BuddyClub or Brian Crower?
BuddyClub only has 1 "stage 2" cam whilst Brian Crower has 2. One for NA, one for turbo.
The BuddyClub Spec IV's(their stage 2's) are good cams. Even for 'stock rev limits'.
Old skool JDM weren't designed for drag racing so they make for fat mids. Great for 1.8's.

...by the way. i've got a set of BuddyCLub Spec IVs for sale for cheap. low mileage with good wear... going carbed and turning it into a track only car so im gonna need something bigger...

my only concern is will the omni valvetrain hold up to the crower cams, either stage 2 or 3

They probably will, but I know I wont use anything Omni ever again. They're cheap. Thru and thru.
