98 vs 00-01 itr cams
how much hp difference will there be on these cams for the intake portion
engine will be b18c1 block/head with itr bottom end and itr valve train
there are some good deals on 98 cams for intake and exhaust
or i can try and do a 98 exh and 00 or 01 intake cam
spec wise their is a difference but on a mild engine setup 190-200whp @ 11.0-11.3 cr will their be a difference?

Don't be so impatient
The rumor wants that the 2000 + intake camshaft have a longer duration, but from what I have read there is no hard evidence showing that it gives a very big improvement. You are looking at maybe 5 hp at the top of the rpm range (this my estimate so don't flame me for it). If you can get a good deal on 98 camshafts I would get them and save a few bucks for something else.

i have done every possible search imaginable
ctr cams
ctr cam
itr cam
itr cams
type-r cams
type r cams
and so on both archived and recent posts for the last 2 months.
dont say do a search if you cant find any threads with help info.
I suspect a 4-5 whp and 3-4 ft-lbs of tq difference between the 2 based on my 2000 R I had vs the 98 R I have now.
My 98 just had a 2000 Intake cam put in it cause I got a great deal so I will let you know after the dyno. I did notice more low end tq IMO but butt dyno's lie!

.....not worth trading up for imho.
If you want more power with cams, go with something that's actually noticably lumpier!
Even a mild cam like spec a's will make much more power than any honda cams with that setup.....

but, im asking if their will be a noticable hp difference.
i fully already understood about the specs of the difference between 98 and 00-01
just seeing if its worth the money to step up to the 00-01
asashi is selling his 98 itr cam, he upgraded to the ctr intake cam
i im'd him, he thought there would be a 3-5 hp diff whp or crank i dunno but im guessing now that the difference is pretty neglible.
probably better if i spent some more money on a better lsd or any other mod
If LSD is one of the things you want to added to your tranny, then I would just get '98 spec. LSD changes the complexion of the car so much I wouldn't care if I made extra 3-5 hps at the crank.
LSD
Also, what tranny are you running with your planned setup?

going to get an itr tranny
but was thinking about changing out itr lsd to a quaife or omp
its not a choice of 00 cams vs lsd
just 00 cams vs other mods; lighter better flywheel, recaro vs sparco seats, new front air dam, seat/track time
rob, who thanks cosworth for not saying a lame reply
