Ok iv been stumped here for quite a while. 91 integra all stock. when ever the a/c is on the battery light comes on a few seconds later and slowly gets worse( lights start to dim, car losses power, and wants to start shutting down) alt is brand new, battery is good.Only have a problem when the a/c is on.
also i dont know if this is related or a problem at all, but when the a/c is turned on both fans will run, and shut off simitanisly way before operating temp.

 

your alternator is bad, plain and simple, sometimes i have to replace 5 at a time before you get one that works right

 

even though ill have no problems as long as i leave the a/c off

alright well it's under warranty so im pullin it out, but i just relised another issue.... pcv valve hose from pcv to manifold sucks closed when i start the car. any ideas???

 

clogged pcv valve or weak hose

alright so i replaced the alt. every thing was fine for a bout 5-10 minutes then same issue came back. when i turn on the a/c the battery light starts to come on.

 

maybe something just grounding out when u push ur a/c button?

 

weird, typically that would be a solenoid or load issue with the alt, do you have a multimeter to check voltage? See if the alt is charging the battery.
