hello, i would like to buy a virgin throttle body that will fit the 96 integra ls engine. i need the map and tps sensors on there at factory setting, meaning a virgin TB. the reason is, my car is idling like crazy and ive cleaned everythign and checked for vacuum leaks and the only thing i can think of is replacing the Throttle body.

I have a b16 tb that will work fine but have you tried to calibrate your tps its real easy to check but give me a offer it has no map sensor.

 

yeah, if i calibrate it to .45V closed throttle, key turned ON(II), it idles at 2200 rpm, i have the throttle screw (on the botom of the throttle plate) all the way out and its idling at 1200-1500 when hot. i checked for vacuum leaks and i dint find any. covered tb with my hand and it died and sucked really hard and kept the vacuum. any ideas anyone?

 

FITV or you have a vacuum leak somewhere.....have you replace the throttle body gasket???

 

i dont have an fitv. the 96 ls engines do not come with the fitv, only the iacv. which i cleaned. and the gasket is pretty new...a few months. and when car is running, i cover the tb with my hand and it sucks hard and dies right away. and it keps the vacuum for a few minutes. an other suggestions? ive made numerous posts about it on the actual tech forums but to no avail. thats why i just want a virgin tb with all sensors and stuff not messed with.

 

try spraying brake cleanner all around where it could leak. Thats a easy way to see if you have a vac leak or find someone with a boost vac gauges and hook it up, takes two secs.
