Default B18a obd1 valve cover on 98 b18b, pcv valve question.

I have a very nice b18a valve cover to put on my 98 (obd1 converted) b18b. The 98-01 valve cover that I have on now has a hole on top for the pcv valve with a hose that runs to the intake manifold. The b18a does not have that hole since these motors have a pcv box on the back of the block. Will there be not enough crankcase pressure ventilation if I remove the pcv system from the valve cover or do I absolutely have to make a catch can setup? If it makes a difference I have a breather filter...

thanks for the help
