the engine is a jdm b18c, i put on a usdm gsr engine harness and this is the only plug that i dont know what its for? Does it have to do with something on the intake manifold on usdm gsr's? because i cannot find any place it would go. Any help is really appreciated.

 

That plug should actually split into two but as the looks of it, it would probably plug into the side of the intake and if theres no spot there it should drop down and plug into another plug below the front of the distributor im pretty sure thats your MAP sensor

 

no i already have a plug into the map sensor as you can see on the pic, and there is nothing for it to go to under the dizzy. Is it because its a jdm and i dont need that plug or something?

Also, isnt the IAT plug supposed to be white?

 

the purge solenoid is also plugged in already, and the IAT cant be white, all the plugs on the harness are either gray or green. Any other ideas? It has to be something around the intake manifold because the wire is so short. And does anyone know if there is anything different on jdm b18c's and usdm gsr intake manifolds?

Since I have no clue which GSR harness you have, here are the OBD2 GSR wire colors.
yellow/black - red/yellow plug = EVAP purge solenoid
yellow/black - black/blue = AICV
red/blue - black = IAB
yellow/red - red/green - green/white = MAP
yellow/blue - red/black - green/black = TPS
red/white - green/black = ECT
red/yellow - green/black = IAT

if that's what you have, I have no idea what you have plugged into the IAT, it's not right.

An OBD1 GSR harness will be different.

 

the harness is usdm, wire colors are red and yellow.

Evap purge is yellow/black + red. Are you sure it doesnt have a black tracer???

alright, does anyone have a link to the wire colors for a obd1 gsr engine harness? I might have mixed a couple up, but that still does not explain why there is a plug that doesnt go to anything, because i have everything plugged in. It has to be something with the engine being jdm, but i do not have enough knowledge on this engine to know.

 

Well i just figured out that my jdm b18c does not have a evap purge solenoid, so that explains the one plug not being used, but if anyone has a link to a color coding of the wires that would help
