let me show you what im doing here.

This is my car right now,

the gold on the rotas is a kindof a flatish gold but not a extremely flat gold...hahah if you know what i mean.

anyways this is exactly what i want to do under the car,

now my question is should i go with the SKUNK2 lower control arms in gold or the BLOX lower control arms in gold

im on a budget and the blox is way cheaper but i want the best so if any one has had any of theses is the gold what i want and what do you think of them? sorry for the pictures being different sizes

 

ive heard some good things and bad things about the BLOX ones.

mostly has to do with bushing going bad. but i thought the blox had a pretty good warranty

 

Skunk2 anyday.

 

Skunk2 uses better bushings. Blox uses OE style.

Skunk2 has holes for adjusting rear swaybar also... You likely wont need that on a street-car though.

 

I have the Blox LCAs. Look great, funciton great.....but the bushings do sound kinda "crunchy". I'll probably end up replacing the bushings in the near future.

 

ive had blox lcas on my ej8 and the bushings went bad in about 5-6 months. i would suggest you spend the extra money for the skunk2 lcas, they will probably last longer.

 

most if not everyone would choose skunk2 only because of the ''NAME'' but dont let that fool you. my bro has gold s2 control arms and his bushings went out. so my point is, regardless of what you get, s2 or blox,you are still gonna run into the same problems with both. so just go with the one you like the most or one that fits your taste and budget.

 

i would go with the blox

 

Look at the picture, duh! The Skunk2 have 3 adjustable mounting points for a sway bar. The BLOX don't. Obviously Skunk2 is better.

 

i bought a pair of blox lca, say 3yrs ago when i was doing the rear brake disc conversion, and now the bushing started to tear. i get this squeaky noise from the rear but can't figure out if the lca bushing is causing it or not..i grease up the blox bushing pretty good but still squeaks..i'm planning to get the skunk2 lca later..hopefully it'll be better..plus i lost the receipt to the blox lca so can't get warranty out of it..although i don't think they cover the bushing since it's a wear-and-tear piece.

 

all types of aftermarket LCAs have seared off...but i doubt your going to actually use them for roadracing. just sittn pretty

 

blox and skunk2 are almost made exactly the same

 

I've had blox lca's on my car for about a year no problems

 

i'm pretty sure skunk2's come with poly bushings, i'd go with them

 

blox bushings go bad, alot. some poeple dont have the problem but alot of them do.
id just save up and go skunk2 or just keep your oems.

 

go with skunk , my bushing where bad and the send me the new version of the stronger bushings for free.

 

Blox suck, I bought a set and the bushings went bad in under 3k miles even though I clocked them and torqued all my fasteners to spec.

I haven't had any issue with ES bushings in OEM LCAs, so I spray painted a pair silver and put new black bushings in. They look sexy.
