Decent spring rate for daily?
Getting ready too buy some D2 coilovers , idk if they even come with custom spring rates, but if they do any recommendations for a decent spring rate for daily?
I don't mind a bit on the stiff side but I'd like it too be a lil less harsh if it can be with a different spring rate, if that's even possible.
Not gonna be doing much tracking with it, so any kinda softer ride I can get would be nice.
Was just thinking.....if it cant be done, it cant be done....but any insight would be nice
Appreciate some help, thanks.

As far as spring rates, my situation is very similar to yours, i use my car as a daily and don't track it really. I have a 6/8 set-up (8/10 i think would be too severe for daily, but that's just me), which i would consider pretty common for daily drivers. The ride is a little stiff (considering it came from stock suspesion) but the car is nicely lowered and after a day i never had any discomfort.
If this is your first time lowering a car make sure to practice going up slanted entryways at an angle, or you'll scratch up your bumper.

Nope my last Honda was pretty low, I mastered that art ha.
I switched my springs twice trying to get a decent ride, ended up with Tein coming from Progress, which was a lower than the Teins, but road way worse.
This isn't gonna be my daily, 04 Explorer for that, so I can go a Lil more on stiff side I think since ill only drive it sparingly.
Thanks for reply.

If you're just driving on the street and your main concern is a good ride, stock is the best. After I lower any car, no matter what I lower it with (H&R, Skunk, Eibach, Tein) I never drive it because it's too rough. All of the previously mentioned manufacturers ave pretty good reps, too. It's just not worth the added stress of scraping, avoiding potholes, avoiding certain routes with bad roads, etc.
Yeh but it looks hotness.
Like I said its not gonna be my daily so if its a bit harsh, I won't get tired of it like I would if I had to drive it everyday.
Was just wondering though, more comments welcome
