Default 60 foots finally came down a little.

Well those of you who have taken part in my last few threads know that i am on a quest to get decent 60fts at my local mom and pop track that isnt known for its prep. well the best 60ft I ever got was a 1.68 twice and then they fell off to high 1.7 low 1.8 this was on 23s, i then upgraded my suspension to omni drags, i installed full race traction bars and i switched to hoosier 24.5s, well tonight i tried it all out and got a 1.67!! lol yeah not much of a improvement i know, but i got 4 or 5 1.6 60 fts back to back where as the 23s only managed 2 and then fell off. the air tonight was heavy and wet, the portable weather station said the adjusted altitude was 5900 feet!! lol this is at a 500 foot track. my MPH was down at least 7 or 8 mph all night from what it should be so the air was robbing at least 50 hp from me so i wasnt able to set a new PB with the good 60s, in fact my ET ended up being the same as it was last weekend with no traction bars and 23s just with better 60fts and less MPH , lol its always something.

I was racing labor day friday and saw one of your passes. You seem to be blowing off second gear, are you going full boost in second gear? If you can get it on camera and put large chalk lines on the tires you should be able to see it. I know they only VHT to the 60' mark or so and then you hit the concrete transfer bump. Just saying.

they VHT to the 1000 ft 2 coats and then to the 330 a third coat, second gear normally hooks unless i hit a slick spot like the track had that day from some one dumping fluids. to make matters worse my tranny was so hard to shift that day , the sliders and syncros was all burred up and beat, i since have replaced first threw fourth with new syncrotech assemblies. and i use full boost in second, i run one of my JS boost controllers and after testing found i get the best ET with second at full boost.

I didn't realize they VHT'd it that far. Sure doesn't feel like it.

Bring that thing MIR this weekend and see what's it's like running on a good track. VHT to the 1000'? They only do it here to the 330' at most.
