friend of mines ( real one, not me ) has a 97 ek and is trying to put a front bumper of a 00 si on it with out the whole front end conv, id this possible ?

 

You WILL need the following. From a 99-00 also

-Headlights
-Hood
-Fenders
-Grill

the core support is also a little different but you can make it work. if you clean and careful about it won't look hack as awful hell.

 

all you need to do is trim a little of the bumper mount, its very easy i have done a few...
and they all look great, and the gaps are perfect.

no its not possible with out the hole front end, the head lights,grill its all differnt. hood, and fender are also different.

There's only one way to replace just the bumper and nothing else on the front end. You're not going to like it and you stand a good chance of screwing things up.

Take your '97 bumper and cut the top section off of it (where the bumper folds to make the "top" of the bumper). Do the same to your '00 bumper. Now you have to attach that '97 top to the '00 bottom in such a way that people could never tell you hacked it up. Remember bumpers are flexible, so however you put it on has to be too.

Hope you don't hit anything and nothing hits you or else the easiest thing is to just get another '96-'98 front bumper.

 

yes its possible. but you need everything from the 99-00 front end as well. not just the front bumper.

I wouldn't do a front end conversion. I'm not a huge fan of this bumper either, but it's neat when I've seen it done well. I don't think I'd want it for myself.

It's not like we don't have a million threads about this topic already, so at least this one has one other alternative. Even if it's difficult to do and your average teenager won't have the body experience to pull it off right.

Now if only people had to pass a test on using the search feature before they were allowed to make new threads. I know what would happen with that though. They would just continue to post questions in other's threads about totally off topic stuff. Seen it before.

 

well i was just asking cus my friend was trying and buggin on asking this but n-e-ways.. he messed up his bumper and fog lights ,i didnt took pics but it was a good trie .. now his selling his 97 ek so i might buy it = )
