Hey all, I've got a 1994 Honda Accord LX that is coming up on 250,000 miles. The car still runs great (though it is beginning to show signs of wear..)

Anyway I was wondering if someone has compiled a checklist of thing to service yourself...as I'd like to get another 50,000 miles out of this thing if I can. Just the brake pads changed. I'm relatively new to cars but would love to start working on this thing myself..

Just a newbie looking for some advice on what to start checking..

My brake has a strange issue where once the brake is pressed (sitting at a red light) it slowly seeps further back and I have to keep my foot pressing it in. It slowly goes until it reaches the very back (er front) of the car..as far as my leg can extend..

The brakes also squeek pretty consistently..this started a couple months ago.

Other than some cosmetic stuff and some rust the car runs well. I have noticed it has started being a little "sluggish" changing gears ie. I can feel the car changing gears more than I used to.
