At Expo '09 I won a tuning session with Jack from the raffle. Unfortunately, my car will be going into storage for awhile, and I'm pretty friggin' far from him anyway. Consequently, I'm holding a mini-raffle to give it away again. I've ok'd it with him, and I'll notify him of the winner when the time comes. Some crucial requirements to win this:
1. I don't care what kind of car it is.
2. Car must either have seen or will see the track/autox/rallyx at least once.
3. That's it.
Edit: 4. You have to go to Jack, in South Carolina. http://www.p1auto.com/
I'm cross-posting this in a couple places, so if you read it on multiple threads put your name in only one of them. You could be sneaky and put multiple usernames, but that would just be a dick move
I'm putting my trust in you all not to do that
To keep this relatively organized, whoever wants in just start a list in this thread, like this:
1. Your mom
2. etc.
Good luck!
I'll pick the winner next Friday.

Engine tuning, on a dyno. He does other work (which you might be able to negotiate with him, I have no idea), but the "coupon" is specifically for engine tuning.

Back in 05 I took my 94 miata with jackson racing supercharger over to P1 for some tuning. I lived in charlotte at the time.
I was referred to P1 by Jackson Racing themselves. Apparently there arent many shops approved to be "experts" by Jackson Racing, so I got lucky to find one so close.
My problems were massive hesitation on tip in of throttle at anything under 5K rpm and an insanely loud supercharger belt squeal on cold start up...along with belt slippage once rpm's reached 6K or so.
I left the car with them with instructions to fix at all/any cost. A few days later I get the call to come pick it up.
Go to get it and they tell me they couldnt figure out the hesitation problem (cant remember what it was they said they tested/ran diagnostics on) and they simply tightened up the supercharger belt (it was already tight). Paid them and left with the exact same car I had when I dropped it off.
Never went back to them again.
Assumably they tune honda's better than miata's...
