hey guys...I was just wondering if anyone know whether the rear strut bar is the same for 94-up tegs and certain civics. Does anyone know the years that it is the same? thanks

 

I believe 94-01 will fit the 92-95 EG

 

O, and another thing....I've heard that rear strut bars on tegs don't help that much...if that's the case, it might affect my decision in purchasing a more expensive brand or a cheaper version. Any insight on rear strut bar performance?? Thanks...

 

Actually the rear helps more than a front ( if you already have a front). Increased oversteer.

NOT TRUE.

'92 - '95 Civics and '94 - '01 Integras can all use the same Rear Lower Strut bar. The '96 - '00 Civic strut bar is about 3 inches shorter.

 

what about the upper rear strut bar...that's the one i'm looking for

I always thought the the rear strut bar was refered to the bar that connects the strut towers.

And the lower tie bar wasn't referred to as a strut bar since it really doesn't connect the struts/shocks, but the lca.

If i am wrong, please excuse me for being logical.

BTW, rear UPPER strut bar does fit the 96-00 civics. I had the same bar in my 96 hatch as my 94 integra.

 

I agree....I have always know the lower rear as a lower rear tie bar and not lower rear strut bar. But anyways....

 

According to Comptech USA, there is very little flex in that area of the chassis so a rear strut brace is unecissary (which is why comptech doesn't make them). If you want one, I wouldn't spend to much cash on it.

I'd get an ITR rear sway bar if I were you. Ditch the strut bar idea.

 

Ive already got a cusco rear bar...and im wondering if the strut bars will make a difference..especially the rear

 

If you already have one why don't you put it on and find out...

 

the best bar was my c-pillar bar just felted way better but i did somewhat feel a differnt with the rear upper though
