I use to live in a apartment so i wash my car at those self washing place. now i live in a house so i do my own car wash. Just wondering what is your recommendation.

 

I have always used Mothers California Gold car wash soap or 3M car soap

 

3m does everything huh? adhesive but never car soap. thanks btw

I like Eagle 1 car wash and get the Eagle 1 spray wax too.

 

dial hand soap. seriously, it's ironic, i use 3m and Zaino products for almost everything but dial hand soap as an initial wash. why? because its the only product that wont touch the wax coat and still remove all dirt/grime. if you want to reapply your wax coat use a stronger soap obviously..but why re-do what's already perfect?

Out of all the ones I've tried, I'd say Meguires NXT is the best. Best detail spray and waxes i've used were from the NXT line too.

 

have never used any car soap dear so do not have much idea....

 

I use dish wash soup and it work good all the time.

 

that is not good for the paint, maybe once a season to get all the old waxes etc off, but it is horrible for the paints finish and most would recommend to never use it

 

exactly....i only use it right before im going to detail a vehicle because it mostly strips anything off the finish before claying/buffing/polishing/waxing.

 

I use all the time but i don't wash the vehicle too often. Since now i didn't see anything wrong with the paints. Well you said it bad for paints finish so i might understand that parts.

 

By the way, it not soup it "soap." LOL!

 

The best thing I have seen used on a car is Murphy's Oil! After you wash it...buff it off with a lint-less cloth, or use a buffin pad! It will give a car a shine like no other!
