Hey guys ive looked i know there is a eg front lip post somewhere does anyone know the link or post some pics of the front lip options.

I was gonna put the stock si lip on but i want to paint it.

the mugen lip, the type r lip, or the smooth flush carbon fiber lip that $200 or make your own
or the oem lips. do the si lip but thats real small

Just paint the lip Professionally with clear an what not an it should last just like car paint... Just its gonna have rock chip's here n there from over time..

 

I was thinking of mounting the lip on the car and then jbweld a piece of welding rood along the inside lip to keep it ridged.

 

You really dont have to do that.. The Honda Bolt n lip fastner's hold the Lip really Well!

 

Yep. I was going to put an EK Si lip on my sedan, but once i compared it to the CTR OEM lip, the CTR just looks so much better; just a pain when u have to pay so much for shipping to get to Australia!

The only thing I would say is to have a panel beater paint the lip 'twice' and then put the coat of clear on top. If you don't put 2 coats on, it could start to crack and then it'll just be a waste of ur time & money cause you'll have to do it again.

Well not having any luck on the OEM lip. Mine has to many scratches on it to paint and look good. And honda canada is on back order for the lip and possible discountinued. I was looking at the spoon replica in urathane but i sort of wish it was 1/2" small would look more suttle. Im not sure now **** this sucks i wanna paint the parts this week lol.

Yeh, nothing beats OEM mate - I tried the cheap replicas and it's just not worth it... but at least ur closer to the States than me - I had to order my 98 OEM CTR front lip from the US (optionsauto.com), which they had to order from Veilside in Japan - and took 6 weeks to get to Australia! But I can tell you, it is so worth the wait...haven't fitted it yet, but have some pics in my album

yeah. after 2 days. the plastic got hot and warped super bad. it was all flat and flush at first. one of those 2 day cool things then turns to junk

Ha ... never mind the waves ... what about the cross on the hood? Is that etched in with a grinding wheel? You really do love Jesus ... here I thought you were just being facetious. Do you have a Jesus bobble head on your dash, too? That would be a trip!

To the OP: Have you tried the junkyards? I've found a few OEM ones on Coupes and such at yards. I just leave em there now, I see so many of them. Might try your luck around Ottawa.

 

no, no bobble head. the cross is more tan paint. im not sure what i was going to do with the hood. tan? or chalk slate paint and write scripture all over the hood.
