My brother has a 97 civic dx coupe with 211k miles on it we just recently got done putting it back together after paint. We got it in pretty bad shape and we fixed it to where we thought it was good and it passed inspection. About two days ago it started making a weird pulsing/whining noise. Its hard to explain but you can feel it in the gas pedal and it only happens between 40-45 and after that it goes away. I have tried to check for him but have no clue what it is and figured that you guys would probably know becasue there is alot of people with alot of knowlege on here.

 

sounds like front end
under the hood.
check everything of course.
did you take the motor out to paint?
did you take out the suspension to paint?
