WI Getting out of the game, very clean 92 DA with GSR Motor/Transmission
Up for sale is my project car. A 1992 Acura Integra RS white in color. The exterior isn't perfect, but it's pretty damn clean for its age and mileage (193k on the chassis). For beginners, the headlights are OEM Stanley JDM One-pieces. The body only has one small spot that is starting to rust and a couple of visible tiny dents. Otherwise, this body is fairly straight. All the gaps are even between the body panels. The mirrors have been replaced with OEM Integra blue ones, I had EF Style mirrors when these pics were taken. The OEM Antenna is broken, but I did wire in a Toyota Prius Antenna where the rear window washer squirter used to be. The car is no longer lowered, it sits on stock springs and struts.
Now lets get into what is under the hood.
This car is an RS chassis, but the motor and transmission have been swapped for a 92-93 Integra GSR B17a which is mated to a 92-93 YS1 GSR transmission (5k rpms @ 80mph). Shifts come fast, and highway cruising sucks cause your rpms are so high, but the car is fun to drive. The motor, which I sourced through a friend, is pretty tired. Compression tests (done at Normal Operating Temp) showed that all 4 cylinders are shot (probably due to some lead foot driver). I have had this car since February, and got it running in April/May. I've put maybe 1000 miles on it so far. I would estimate that the b17 now has around 140k on it, if I were to believe the person I got it from. The engine bay has been wire tucked, not completely, but for the most part its very well tucked (still has map sensor wires and engine wire harness showing). There is an eBay strut bar, which I have had on many many EF project cars in the past. The clutch and pressure plate are brand new, only has as many miles as I have put on the car since I have owned it. There is a short shifter as well. The exhaust is stock from the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter, but after that, it has an RSR cat-back system (Yes, real RSR, made in Japan, probably better than Greddy back in the day when the exhaust was new.) The interior is very clean, very few blemishes. It is a black interior. The car came with blue, but most of the pieces have been switched to black. What hasn't been swapped yet I do have in black (hood release handle, gas and trunk release, parking brake.) There is an c-pillar brace as well. Please note that thew windshield has a crack in it.
This car was my project car, but, I am no longer interested in finishing it. There is work involved. The engine is in need of a rebuild, runs and drives nice, but does not like to restart when warm, need to let it sit for about an hour before restarting. Included with this car is what you see plus all my extras (will show you what i have). Also, since this was going to be my project car, I did pick up a spare b17a motor to rebuild. The spare b17 has already been bored and honed .25 over. The crank shaft has been balanced and polished. I do have OEM Honda Main Bearings for this motor (not cheap). To finish this motor, you will need .25 oversized pistons of your choice, and a cylinder head and a few miscellaneous parts that bolt to the motor. I have the OEM Rods. Also, you will receive a port matched and polished intake manifold from a 99-00 SI and an OEM Civic Type-R N1 Crank Pulley and new belt. I am sure there are many more parts that come with this car that I am forgetting, but I do have a lot.
My asking price is $4200, which is about what I have invested in the car. I have a lot of time stuck into it as well, but there is no charge for that. I hate to let it go, but, the show must go on. Maybe somebody will give this car the TLC it needs and put in a little bit of work. This car does turn heads when I drive it around. It's not every day that you see this clean of an Integra around. The car also comes with a Car Fax report. The car was originally sold in Illinois, then spent some time out in California, then it ended up here in Wisconsin a few years ago.
If you are a serious player and would like to see the car, or maybe take it for a drive, don't be afraid to email me. I work Monday through Friday until about 5:30-6:00, and have most Saturdays free. I am not available on Sundays for the most part. If you are seriously interested, I will make the exception for you. I know that the blue book value is a lot lower than what I am asking, but with the amount of extras, both aftermarket and OEM, this car is worth every penny. This car is not intended for someone looking for just some car, this car is meant for someone who will appreciate what it is all about.
