Default usdm gsr engine harness on jdm b18c question

i know the gsr has the vtec pressure switch but the b18c does not, i ordered the gsr harness since it had the rhd harness on it. What do i do with the connector for the vtec pressure switch on the gsr harness?

I used a USDM gsr harness on my jdm gsr motor. I made the jdm motor a usdm look-alike. I used a USDM vtec solenoid, intake manifold, crank pulley, and distributor.

correction: All usdm motors including the b18c1(usdm gsr) comes with a vtec pressure switch. All jdm motors including the b18c(jdm gsr or ITR) does not come with a vtec pressure switch. Why? because the usdm p72 ecu looks for one and the jdm p72 or jdm p73 doesnt look for one.

Why did you order a rhd engine harness??? its useless unless you want to use it as scrap parts.

I dont understand your situation. Do you have a usdm b18c1 or a jdm b18c? If your trying to use a right hand drive harness it wont work buddy..

If you have a jdm b18c motor with a usdm p72 ecu, then you will likely get a CEL for vtec pressure switch 22 because the jdm b18c motor doesnt have a pressure switch and the usdm p72 ecu is looking for one.

*There are 3 methods to fix this.

1. Heres a trick to bypass it.

2. You can simply use a jdm p72 ecu which doesnt look for a vtec pressure switch

3. Actually install a vtec pressure switch on your jdm vtec solenoid or replace the whole vtec unit for a usdm one that has a pressure switch on it already

I did not buy a rhd harness i said the rhd one is on the engine because it came with it, I bought the complete swap from HMO. I ordered a USDM GSR wiring harness from rywire. My question is what do i do with the plug on the usdm harness for the vtec pressure switch? Just let it hang? cut it off?? I also have the jdm p72
