What is a b18h5 block???
new to the honda scene and i just purchased a motor for my 97 honda civic ex. The motor i bought has b18h5 stamped on the block. Have tried to google it but nothing has come up. It has a single cam vtec head on it. Im just trying to see if any of you guys could help me out. TIA!
Your right. The guy i bought it from said it had come from a 2000 honda civic ex. and that it should be a direct plug and play to my 97EX. Top end looks just like my 97 . I just happened to look at the block and it had B18H5 stamped on it.

...that engine doesn't exist....
That block stamp looks doctored. Looks like a D16Y8 to me. D16Y8s came in 96-00 EXes.
Did you buy this engine from a guy in a striped suit? The Rice Burglar?
