Default LCA Question

Which rear LCAs can I used that will allow me to use a set of koni yellows that came off a 98 civic? I have an 89 si, I figured they should bolt up, but the LCA bushing is too wide for the shock.

Won't work out that way for you since the bushing width on the ek's are slimmer. Unless your konis use washers to accomodate the slimmer size, then you can't use any lca's since 98 lca just won't work either.

Yah, I know they won't work. But I'm going to do a rear disc brake conversion right away and was wonder which LCAs I could use to make them fit. I'm guessing 99-00 civic si? Anything else, those rear disc swaps are harder to find.

normally should be fine as long as u use ef,da, eg or dc2 lcas... sold my crx agx to a friend with a 2000 dx coupe... he needed crx front forks and for the rear he had to run spacers on both sides of the inner sides of the rear shock's fork (beacuse the metal sleeve in the bushing is shorter on em/ek rear lcas) so with that said in your case as long as you use lcas from one of those forementioned chasis, you shouldnt need the spacers. BUT unlike kyb or tokico i guess koni actually makes the fork slimmer too instead of giving you spacers so if thats the case, you just cant "bolt em up" with any lca... maybe u can buy just the bushings u need.

I thought they should have fit, maybe the previous owner put 88 LCAs on mine and that's why they don't fit? I guess if they don't work when I do my rear disc I'll have to stop being cheap and just buy a new set.

Grind the lca metal bushing the equal amount and try not to melt the bushing.
