Default Suspension Question

I am installing my own suspension for the first time, and the springs are already on the struts, so I jacked up the car and removed the driver side front strut, took off the fork, and put it on the new strut, and put the brake lines back on but the fork doesn't quite line up with control arm, do I have to compress the spring or is there someway around this? I used a jack on my rear lower control arm when I did my rear disc swap can I do the same with the front?

if u are talking about the strut fork being too far away from the lower control arm then ya jack it up and stick the bolt on.

Sometimes I find it easier to get the fork bolt through with the inner pivot of the lower control arm OR the ball joint disconnected, then once you have the fork bolt in jack it up from there.

grab onto the caliper and pull down while under the car are shove the bolt in,
its really really easy, and you dont need a jack to do it. its going to take some wiggleing to get threw at first, push it threw look on the other side and then tap with a hammer or something and it will go right threw.
