need help! speedometer and odometer issue...

Default need help! speedometer and odometer issue...

my speedometer and odometer suddenly stopped working when i was driving home and the check engine light was on.. what should i do? please help.. thanks!

The check engine light prolly came on due to speedometer not working. If you do not have a blown fuse then I would look at the vehicle speed sensor on the tranny. My speed/odomemeter quite working due to a faulty headlight switch on the colume.

its a 2000 si.. i checked the fuse already but i think its fine.. i also unplugged the harness on the vss and on my cluster and plug it again but its still not working..

it is definatly a fuse. its the 7.5 amp fuse #15 i believe.

Your speed sensor probably went out but thats weird that the CEL came on

Found it.. at last!! its the no. 15 fuse.. i guess when i checked it i pulled the wrong fuse.. stupid me.. lol! but thanks guys! your guys are big help! thanks again!

Not sure, but maybe the fuse won't blow again because I don't think the 00 Si is included in the TSB I posted.
