99 accord problems
I recently swapped in a fresh jdm f23a motor into my 99 accord lx. I first cranked the car and let the car run so the ecu could reset itself. After I did that there were some problems.
-blipping the throttle bogs the motor, while slowly giving it gas it does fine.
-surging idle about 5-10 seconds after start hot or cold
-putting the car into gear bogs the motor severely giving it gas or not giving it gas
any ideas what could be going on?
Thanks,

Did you swap over your original Manifolds / Sensors or did you swap the f23 as it was received?
Have you rechecked your harness routing and connections?
Does the car have the correct PCM for that engine transmission combination?
The reason I ask is because it's been pointed out (by others) that there are subtle differences with sensor locations and subsystems between USDM and true* JDM examples; and more than a few have been hung up over this.
P
*to confuse it more, I've caught EDM (Canadian) used engines in the JDM mix.....
DId you got that JDM engine from from this site ---

Thanks P_Adams for your response. The exhaust and intake manifolds were swapped because the motor I received had a 4-2-1 design exhaust manifold while mine is 4-1 and also no o2 bung. The "jdm" motor intake manifold was also missing cruise control, and the iacv was missing a a hose connector the was coming from the front of the manifold. I used my original vtec pressure sensor as the Jdm motor had a bolt plugged in it's location. All the sensors seemed to line up fairly well. Any examples of what sensors your talking about being placed differently?
