I have a 91 CRX Si, turbo zc low boost. A couple days ago i had left the radio on over night and when i went to start the car in the morning the battery was completely dead with next to NO GAS in the car. I tried jumping the car about 3 times (5-10 minutes everytime) and it did absolutely nothing. No radio no lights no nothing so i tried bump starting it countless times and nothing, itd start puttin but not enough gas to get her going. So i decided to buy a new battery today since it wasnt holding a charge, i replaced the battery and still, NOTHING! No radio no click no nothing. Im running out of money and i need to fix this problem before friday when i start work, im thinking it could be the alternator but i just dont know. The car has been properly converted to obd1 aswell.

I have the same problem. I have a 93 Civic DX and replaced the battery this morning. The lights come on, but the engine wont turn over. Anything will help. Thanks

 

I cant even get a light on or a sound lol

 

When i replaced the battery this morning, i know it was fresh cause the alarm was loud as ****. All the normal lights come on when i go to start it, but it just wont start. if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

 

If your getting power, and its not starting. You might not be getting a spark, check the plugs, fuel pump, injectors, starter could be anything but im not a genius

 

I talked to the maintenance dept at the dealership and they said that it might be the starter. It might be gettin power, but not recycling it through

 

check fuses under hood --- wouldnt hurt to see if ecu or even a main relay might have blown

 

the starter has nothing to do with power to everything is is ur main relay under the dash always carry extra

hmm, did i add gas? thats a good idea. i got bout a half tank left

Is your car a manual? If it is check the clutch interlock switch at the top of the clutch pedal. They have a rubber stop that engages the switch and over the years they rot and fall off.

 

Yes i added gas, but it seems like everyone is throwing out random ideas and none of which really help

 

it sounds like you got a bad battery cable. Try tugging on the ground cable while someone is turning the ignition. if that doesnt do it then try the same with the positive cable.. then let us kno how that works

 

I was going to say either the Battery fuse under the hood might be blown if you are getting no lights or anything. I would also check the ignition switch if the battery terminals/fuse is still good.

 

it works fine now. the battery is fresh and the clutch sensor needed to be reset

 

hey its relly a matter of thinking.if you have changed the battery it should have worked. if it is not working there must be a problem with the radio section.
