how do you tell tire sizes???

Default how do you tell tire sizes???

i am getting motegi mr7s 17in... from http://www.1010tires.com and i donno what size tires to choose... help please... i want to get yokohama A520's there are like 8 diffrent 17in ones... donno what the rest of the numbers and letters mean... thanks...

i would suggest for you either 205/40 or 205/45 or 215/40.
those tires have less rubber than say a 285/40 that is a huge tire you dont need anything like that or even close to it.

i'm running falken ziex 512 tires 215/45/17 on my enkei cdr9 wheels, i need the extra rubber cuz the roads around here are terrible.

ohh yeah and nice choice of wheels i thought about getting those too but i ended up goin with the cdr9's.

Just look at yur tire there are numbers on them that tell either tire pressure or size

lets say its 215/40/zr17
the 215 is the width the 40 is the sidewall height (percentage of width i think) the zr would be a speed rating like z, zr, v... and the 17 is the rim size
