Default Keep breaking 3rd gear shift fork

I have a d16y7 with a ex B000 transmission. So far it has broke about 3 or 4 shift forks. What could be causing this? the clutch is a newer (maybe 10k mile) action 2ms set. Im not sure it if is a clutch disengagment problem or what. Any ideas??

I've never seen a 96-00 steel shift fork break.

Did you correct the factory issue with the 3-4 slider?

Wow. Either you need to learn how to shift or you just have bad luck.

Yes there was agressive shifting, same clutch on all the transmissions. I broke 2 forks on one transmission, then replaced the complete unit for another which just broke.

Its a 6 puck sprung clutch.

Im not sure if the transmissions are 96-00, they might be 92-95

ive owned the car for about 6 years. No problems until i put this action 2ms clutch in it. Can it be any way related to that? if not , i will take the driver mod into consideration but i need some other ideas.

Thanks for the help. im tired of getting these things replaced. how easy is it to do on my own?

I'm gonna said that clutch is too aggressive for a stock D tranny.

Does your clutch look something like this.

And if so. Why do you need a clutch like that? It's only a D16Y7.... turbo, stock????

its turbo, makes a little over 300. One transmission had a quaife lsd and syncrotech syncros, but i know that doesnt help the shift forks. And yes the clutch is close to that

Do you rest your hand on the shifter when in gear? The added stress can cause shift forks to break. Just an idea.
