ITR track video
This was taken at a Chin Motorsports event on August 11th at Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida.
Background: the camera is mounted in a BMW M5 w/ Hoosier tires, high performance brake pads, and a strut tower bar i believe. No drastic modifications.

nice driving...
how do the m5's compare to us itr's? just curious since there's a huge disparity in power; itr 195, m5 400...

With a professional driver, the M5 should run circles around the ITR on a road course. Of course that isn't always the case...it takes a lot of practice to get the full potential out of a high horsepower car like the M5.

Bob is right. Stock for stock the M5 is way faster on a road course. My car is not stock however. A lot of money and time invested in it. I was surprised to see that the M5 still didn't keep up with me. I actually rode in it and it is fast in the straights. The car weighs an awful lot as well so in cornering when i am giving it full throttle for the greatest amount of exit speed the M5 can't punch it that hard due to it's power because the rear end will come loose quickly. I kinda experienced that when i rode with him in the passenger seat.
I will comment on how good the M5's brakes are. I thought they **** all over mine. I felt so much G force from them my head was spinning. i bet if i was in a harness it would of been better (i wear 5 pt harnesses in my car). The M5 would brake way later than most cars because of it's stopping power. I just coulnd't get over how well it stopped.

Agreed, but Mike's car is FAR from stock. BTW, that guy in the M5 knew what he was doing. That was not his first event, it's just that Mike has an assload done to his car, along with some good driving.
Quoted from Mike earlier.
Yes he is a good driver in that BMW. My car is not stock though. His car weighs a lot more than mine (i had mine weighed in at 2500 lbs with the cage in place). I put 185 whp and i only weigh 175 lbs. Just some things to think about as to why he didnt reel me in like i thought he would have. His car is faster in the straights but my exit speed coming out of corners is what made him not catch me.
