88crxhf body add 90 mpfi eng harness?help
I have a 88 crx hf and would like to add on my 90 mpfi engine harness to get the d16a6 running in this car. I know there is some re-configuring I need to do with at least a couple sensors or other wires (88=no ficv etc.). I've seen some of Jlicrx's charts on this special config stuff. He knows ALL this stuff...search only gives me a bunch of crap for sale....except jlicrx's posts......Thanks Again H-T......
I don't have the 88 engine harness, only a 90. I need to mate these two together (88 car side harness to 90 mpfi engine harness), maybe adding the ficv and ficv wires to the 88 car harness if needed???
There are some wiring experts out there that can make this an easy plug and play deal?
Guys like Monotech, Rywire, Jlicrx, etc..Please help make this easy for this old racer...
thanks H-T.......

to use the Si engine harness with the HF chassis harness, you need to do this:

if you want to connect the Fast Idle Control Valve on the back of the Si intake manifold (you don't really need it) you need to do this:
run a wire from the blue wire on the FICV to ECU pin B2 (you need the 89-91 PM6 ECU as the 88 didn't have FICV and 88 ECU won't recognize it) - connect the black/yellow (power) wire from the FICV to the black/yellow wire at the EACV
-or-
when you repin the Si driver's side connector, you could move the blue FICV wire to location 3 on the connector and relocate the yellow wire at ECU pin C8 to ECU pin B2 - this will save running the additional wire from the ECU

Thank you Jlicrx sir...your info is always spot on.....
I thought I would need one side of one of the connectors, but after reading your post, maybe I don't need any connectors after all....
Thanks again....
