Default Reverse Rotation Engines

hey guys,

I have been doing some research as to what engines are reverse rotation. I know the B Series are but are the f series? I am new to these imports but I am learning quickly and I am reading as much as I can find. I even tried searching google for reverse rotation engines and didn't get much information.

I want a powerful 4 cyl that is reverse rotation that I can use in a project I am currently working one. I found some B series V-Tec engines but are there any with more power? Even a V-6 would work I guess. I also need a auto tranny to go with it that is front wheel drive.

Thanks for any help you guys can give, like I said I am new to the import and welcome any advise.

IIRC, B series, D series, H series and old F series are reverse rotation. Not sure about the V6 motors.

Just out of curiosity, what's the project? Why does it have to be automatic? I'm intrigued.

You'll have a hard time finding an auto VTEC B series... there are JDM automatic B series transmissions, but they're somewhat rare because no one wants them over here. I've seen them on ebay.

There are lots of automatic B18b engines around, from any Integra but a gsr. Also auto B20s, but many of those are likely to be 4WD transmissions, and I'm not a huge fan of the auto CRV tranny.

Didn't they make an automatic Prelude with an H22? That's going to be your most power per $$$ in my opinion. 200 HP, and I see those longblocks go for like $1200 all the time. I would use that one.

K-series would not be "reverse rotation." basiclly all V6 and everything after 2005 spins "normally" or clockwise.

reverse- or counter clockwise, like stated above would include all D, B, F, H and the older E and A series, excluding the S2000 F-series.

as far as power with a auto trans... H-series would be the best "out of box" performance, but if you get a complete auto F-series swap from an accord, and plan some power adder upgrades (maybe turbo) you may have fewer set-up headaches.
