Default Temp rising, low coolant..?no leaks

Ok im stumped. coolant level in the radiator drops, nowhere to be seen, and car seems to run a little hot till i open and relieve excess "pressure" in the radiator and top it off. nothing major just a couple of ounces...

saying that, is there any special way to take the excess air out of the system? i know some older d series engines and b series engines have the bleeder valve?

all help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

been having overheating problems on my car for months aswell...
flush out your radiator.. The drain is below the radiator... Drain it and fill it up again to release any air. If that doesnt work ( like mine ) replaced your head gasket... been 1 month now and temp hasn't gone up the half mark.

Hondas Coolant refill procedure

1. Fill coolant reservoir to full mark
2. Fill radiator to base of filler neck
3. Install the radiator cap loosely.
4. Start the engine and let it run until it warms up (the radiator fan comes on at least twice).
5. Turn off the engine. Check the level in the radiator, and add Honda All Season Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2 if needed.
6. Put the radiator cap on tightly, then run the engine again and check for leaks.

After that if the problem persists i would have a shop check it to see if it has a blown headgasket.

Are you burning the coolant? What color is the smoke that comes out of the exhaust? If the coolant level is dropping then you are most likely burning it, or leaking it when you drive. If it's an auto tranny, then it could be the tranny cooling lines. If not then you most likely need a new gasket. To release all the air form the radiator, I just get the car up high on stands(in the front), and open the cap. Let the car run until it warms up, and the air will find its way to the top. Gotta love gravity.

easy way to check the thermostat is to let the car warm up in the driveway and touch the lower radiator hose. If it's warm, the T-stat's open. They usually fail closed.

Your problem (unfortunately) sounds like a headgasket.

Sounds like the head gasket to me. No external leaks. Coolant and oil aren't mixing. Well, it's gotta be going somewhere.. .. and it won't always smoke when your head gasket is blown.
