1998 accord 2.3 ulev transmission swap problems, please help!
Guys,
Help is greatly needed here...
I decided and purchased a JDM 98~02 automatic transmission from ebay (http://www.japanesestarmotor.com/), which claimed having less 40k miles on.
When it came, it has four control valves/ solonoids missing, but it is fine as I can always switch those from my old tranny.
I had a free lance mechanic $400 bucks to work on this job and it just got done today. Now we had a few problems as the guy told me about
1. the sensors missing on the bought transmission has three prongs which won't fit, however those two on my old has only two. Therefore he switch them.
2. After he installed all those solonoids and sensors from old one to bought one, he tested driving.
Now the car does reverse fine, however when in forward disregard which gear at, it goes from first gear and second gear and slams hardly back to first gear and he is so scared to continuing testing drive......
could anyone help me ??
Great thanks.

you need the solenoids and sensors FROM THE TRANNY.If there is ANY difference, it will start doing things like this.
So contact your trans seller and get the proper sensors and solenoids, and DOnt drive the car until then. And put Honda trans fluid in it, nothing else.
