Default Stock USDM ITR exhaust question

Hey I picked up a 2001 PY ITR not too long ago and I noticed that it does not have the correct muffler. The muffler looks like a stock muffler for LS/GS or GSR. I do not know if the whole exhaust is non Type R as well (meaning the b pipe and possibly the cat). I want to get it corrected.
Would the OEM non type r axleback muffler(like the one that is on my car now) bolt directly up to an ITR b pipe?
If it doesn't that would answer my question.
If my car does have a full LS or non type r exhaust and I buy just the ITR axleback muffler, would that bolt up as well?
Finally can someone post some pictures of their stock ITR exhausts so I can compare mine? Also, is the ITR exhaust stainless? Mine has some rust..

yours might be an OEM style replacement. They usually rust, and they don't carry ITR ones.

The ITR axel back will bolt up to the LS Bpipe (midpipe) so that isn't a good way to tell if the whole exhaust has been changed (probably was a trade+cash for previous owners ITR exhaust)

Take the axel back off, and measure the diameter of the Bpipe, that is PROBABLY your best bet.

To the best of my knowlege, and I might be wrong, but 99-01 LS, GSR, and ITR are all the same lengths (axel, mid, cat, header) just different diameters. I know the 94-98 GSR has different length Header (shorter) with longer to compensate. Good luck! haha

Thank you for the info.

Still, if anyone has a stock ITR, could you post pics of your exhaust?
And on a sidenote, I noticed the passenger side air vent isn't faux carbon. Is that how they all are?

Passenger side air vent is just normal black plastic, no faux carbon.

Post pics of your B-pipe and take some diameter measurements.

Thanks for the part number. I'll probably order the muffler first then when I get around to putting it on, I will measure the midpipe. What is the diameter of the non type r midpipe? US type r is 2.25" right?
But if both mufflers bolt up, is the diameter the same at the flange?
I'll try to get some pics up.

you know what, I think I figured it out.
The stock ITR midpipe has a small resonator just before it bolts up to the axelback. Mine does not have that. Look at the one on passwordjdm
http://passwordjdm.com/Honda-OEM-Int...P2925C210.aspx
or here on team integra.

The only other thing I need to know is whether the cat needs to be changed also, and I hope the header is ok too.

JDM ITR exhausts are different, so don't use that as a benchmark for comparison.

I thought that the exhausts listed on both jhpusa and password jdm were USDM. At least it says "USDM" length for the one on JHP.
Anyone know about the cat though? Is it different for US type r's than other US integras(ls rs gs gsr)?

You are correct saying that the ITR Bpipe (midpipe) has a small resonator before the axel back flange, I have an LS with a 2000 type-r cat back system on it and what you are describing is the USDM part.

2.25" USDM Type-R diameter
2" USDM LS RS GS diameter <-- if im not mistaken

I ordered my ITR cat-back from the factory for $400 flat cause i know the parts guy, i think acuraoemparts.com has it for around $430ish with shipping

acuraoemparts.com prices:
18220-ST7-R60 PIPE B, EX. $168.39
18030-ST7-Z61 MUFFLER SET, EX. $203.93
Ground Shipping $22
Handling Charge $3.95
+Sales Tax

Also, a good way to tell if the muffler is a Type-R part is the 3" slant cut polished tip .. just a FYI
