just a sneak preview of our prototype dog gear set:


and the car:


The new tranny will be built this week, and testing will start asap

Please note, this is just the prototype, so things may change between this and the final production units. I know a lot of you have been anxious to see what we've done so far, so just thought I'd share it with you.

Are you guys doing anything to reinforce the case or is welding a stock case or getting a billet case the option for it?

I know it's not a for sale thread, but what kind of $ should a person expect to pay for a set?

 

We are working on a permanent solution, yes

$$$$ will be competitive.

 

Any plans for a k-series kit? I hear a few guys are cracking casings with the gearkits that are on the market at the moment. In for updates, good job!

what type of ratios with you be offering? i know alot of guys are asking for custom ratios for there particular chassis apps and power levels.

 

man i just got my stock gears converted to "face plate" engagement to limp me until i can get a set of these!

 

Ratios are:
1st Gear - 2.818
2nd Gear - 1.769
3rd Gear - 1.250
4th Gear - 0.910
Final Drive - 4.850

 

Are these gears made from the same materials as your other gears sets and final drives? have there been any failures?

If only i needed to go 175mph in 4th. are different ratios going to be offered in the future?

 

Are the face plates welded to the gears or are they one piece?

 

nice! i have been waiting for this! I am sending my stock gears off for face plating friday to hold me over for this!!!

 

OmegaDynamics: Yes, same material as our current PRO Synchro Gear Sets. With regards to failures, it really just depends on how you define "failure". Nothing is unbreakable, including our gears.

Garage 808 Hatch: The current ratios were chosen for the current crop of "outlaw" cars, suitable for both 24.5's and 26's. We are thinking of offering a shorter final drive as well though.
