I was really thinking about getting one of these cars after this hatch.

In the interior it has the odd rubber boot like in the elements. Can this be taken out and replaced with like a leather boot?

The 2006+ nissan ser spec v's have the same "shifter on dash" with a "leather" boot

I know that, I couldnt find anyone who has done it.

I just want to know if it can be swapped out.

i have an EP3 shifter in my k24 powered Ej1 with a leather boot, the shifter itself WILL fit under a leather boot, and function coreectly

 

he is asking if he can change the rubber boot to a leather not if the shifter will fit

the only reason i can think of why HE thinks he can't change the boot is becuase the shifter box may not fit under a typical leather boot

Yep and his answer to it was he found the rubber ugly! Has nothing to do with anything else all he wants is to change the rubber part to leather... and its been done countless times!

But I did see a guy put one of the bottle covers of a bottle of Crown Royal (it was purple) and it looked sick! Some did the Type-R leather with red stitching and it looked good... It depends what you like really...

you can usually find fake type r shift boots on ebay aswell, just search type r shift boot, i'm going to get a leather boot but i dont like how it looks floppy and saggy so i'm going to cut the rubber boot into ao small coupler like piece and place it inside just to give it a little bit more support

 

If I got a new shift boot, I would do this lol....
