how do you run the wires to hook up a shift lite in a 02 honda civic ex and how to run the wires to signal mirrors

you want to run a shift light to your signal lights?

 

no i wanna hook up the shift light cause my nephew hooked it up for me but not the right way he has it ran to my number one plug but its reading a grand and a half off some one told me that i had to run it to my computer and i was wondering what is the best way to run the wires for my signal mirrors

 

i got a set of carbon fiber mirrors with signal lites and tring to figure the best way to run the wiring for it

Op, didn't you mirrors come with directions? I would just splice a wire in at the stock blinker and run it to the mirror. Or better yet, not run them. As far as the tach goes; I hooked mine up to the dizzy when I ran one. Then I got a real tune and just had it on the SRS light. There is a thread on here about it. Just look around you will find it.

 

i got the mirrors hooked up but the werent any directions to run the lights for it just the power mirror part

 

this is going to sound stupid as hell but whats the dizzy

 

dizzy=distrubutor and 01-05 civics dont have one. our cars use coil packs instead.

 

i was told that i dont have a coil pack on my civic thats why it has to be ran to my computer in order for it to work correctly

 

i feel like a total dumb *** for this cause i really dont know that much about hooking this stuff up i can hook other stuff but not this and there was no instructions with it

if ur just trying to hook up the signal lights off the mirrors cant u just splice them onto the front oem signal lights? that sounds like it would be the easiest way

 

thats what im tring to do but how do i run the wires so that i have them hid and that they dont get pinched and catch fire

 

Run the wires through this. (circled in the photo)



I recommend the use of a split wire loom for the exposed wires. They're inexpensive.
