my car temp needle is not reading/working. what should i check or replace to fix this problem? thx for any help

check under the hood where it plugs in, mine fell out about a week ago when i was driving, so i pulled out the gauge cluster and everything just to find out the wires were all hooked up, then i checked under the hood

 

nope tried everything and nothing yet:[
