Stock ef fuel pump limits/install?
I was wondering how the stock ef fuel pump will handle 240-300hp range? If it won't how well does the Xenocron fuel pump work? I am looking for an EF fuel pump install write up, I just couldn't find anything. Do you have to drop the tank?
in the EF, you have to drop the tank. they fixed that issue in the EG and later, but the EF still requires at least loosening up the mounting straps to gain access to the fuel pump.
I would say the stock pump would be ok in that HP range, and the xenocron pumps, both the bosch and the walbro will be more than enough to handle that power range and much more.

I was pretty sure I had to drop the tank to do this. Does anyone have a write up on doing this? Fuel systems sketch me out I am afraid to do something so small and have the engine lean out or house get to rich and go BOOM.
Don't worry about it; it's not that bad. Just replace any sealing washers and give them a good tightening. A lot of folks seemed to have problems tightening to torque specs. I just recently replaced my whole gas tank (pump and lines included) and it was pretty simple. The hard part was installing it within a storage unit with just 2 scissor jacks
