Hi,

I have a "check engine light" on with my 1988 accord LXi auto trans. i read some about the codes on ECU, i got 12 short flashes which means the problem is the EGR system. any suggestion yo fix that problem??

check to see if you vacuum port is plugged into your EGR valve, check to see if your electrical connector is in good condition and plugged into the EGR valve. You could also check to see if there is enough vacuum to to pull the EGR valve open. If all checks out alright, you have to replace EGR valve.
