Default tapping the oil pan + wg placement?

ok, gonna be tapping my oil pan on my s2k... quick questions.

1. what do i need to put it back? (gasket, sealant, etc..)

2. when welding the bung to the highest point in the pan, do i only weld from the exterior, interior, or both?

3. im making a log manifold.. and was thinking of putting the WG flange (38mm vband) on the bottom side of the manifold. would there be a problem with heat and weight of the WG hanging upside down that will cause the WG to simply fall off? or crack?

4.im also re-routing the dump into the DP so that should take some of the weight off the WG. this isnt really a question.. just sayin

also, should i bevel the wg flange? or weld it directly onto the pipe?

thanks in advance.

It depends on the condition of your original gasket. I suggest just buying a new gasket..

Higher up on the pan is fine. No you do not need to weld both sides. Welding on the inside makes for a cleaner look as long as your hole and bung fit perfectly. Otherwise cover it up by welding on the outside.

This will depend on how well its welded. Putting it on the bottom is fine.

The wastegate flange should have a lip on it. You slide the piping every so slightly into the flange. It pretty much assures its lined up just right and gives you a little lip to weld on.
thanks in advance.

about the WG... im talking about welding it directly onto the log manifold.. its a flat surface.. so i was wondering

something like this but with a v-band.

The S2000 doesn't use a gasket, just Hondabond.

You have to extend a straight piece off of the manifold or else you won't be able to get the v-band clamp on. As for the oil bung, just weld on the outside.
