Default sw96 "teal disaster" 91 EF build thread

Hey guys been lurking around here for a while so thought I'd post a build thread.

Here's my previous car 06 RSX-S which I had to sell earlier this year due to a fight with my parents, moving out on my own, not able to afford insurance, ect. (Might also recognize me as sw96 on ClubRSX)

Picked up this beast shortly after selling the RSX. 91 Civic SI with 246,XXX miles on the body and a (supposedly) lower mileage ZC motor under the hood. Had an auto-zone style "RAPTOR" exhaust, some sick positive rear camber in the rear, uneven drop, racing pedals, cut up carpet, painted over mouldings and roof trims, and some other minor problems.

Painted the mouldings, mirrors, replaced the window trims and roof trims, broken antenna and a ton of little minor cosmetic stuff.

Car already has an alarm but picked up a NRG quick release and lock so I can sleep a little better at night.

More goodies that when on the car recently..

More recent:

Last night pulled the d-series out..

Also got disc brakes off a 91 DA, coilovers, new wheels, and power windows in the works. More to come

only the 90-91 CR-X Si had disc brakes all around. None of the hatchbacks ever had them from the factory.

Nice upgrade!

Now that you say it... you are half right. The SiR's definately did have rear disks, but the CRX Si was the only USDM ones to get it...

Nah it was actually some rice exhaust, I didn't realize there was actually a raptor exhaust!

Swap is in
The rest of the car is less that show worthy right now, though.
Gonna do the rear brake conversion, mess with the coilovers, camber kits, and new wheels sometime early next week. Also got a cheap SRI to replace the stock intake box and will be running the LS header through a 2.25" straight pipe with a RSX resonator welded in and dumped right after the LCA.

Swap is in. Ground down part of the front cross member where tranny was rubbing, took out washer bottle and stock intake piping inside the bumper, finished rear disc conversion, changed oil and radiator fluids, installed coilovers
and camber kits.

Unfortunately when I went to tune found out that the clutch in my new 99 GSR tranny was slipping New clutch setup going in right now, retune, and photoshoot soon!
