explain the difference of vtec swicth over and vtec engagement on a b18c1 p72 does vtec come on at 4500 or 5800

when MY vtec kicks in I get the butterflies

what if it is kicking in at 5200 not 5800 or 4500 and there aren't any secondary butterflys

4500 rpms is vtec, 5400 is the IABS opening up.


its a two stage manifold.
