how many interested in having street stock added to cmi??
if we were able to convince tony to add the street stock class to cmi events how many people would actually come out and race theres no point in trying to get the class if we aint got no cars. im not saying this is going to happen but its very possible if we have enough cars there was only 5 of us at battle were gunna need more than that so any cars that fit within the rules basically no swaps let me know and i will forward the info to tony
thanks
for actual rules www.battleoftheimports.com

dont worry this is my last year in this class if all goes as planned im tryin to step up to s/p next season just need about 20k lol but you may end up racing my girl if i move up ima put her in my dc
I think that a "True" street class would be more successful since the majority of cars have swaps. IFO is already doing this and they've had a good turnout.

ALL MOTOR SPORT $300 (F/RWD 4/6 cyl or rotary, n/a engines only, slicks OK for FWD only, full exhaust and interior required, current registration required). $200 to 1st, $100 to R/U This is the class that started it all (thanks Randy). In Maryland it consisted of mostly 12 to 13 second Hondas, bolt-on 350Zx, NSXs, etc. This class will double to quick 16s with higher pay outs often. Class presenting sponsor position open.

Yep, the first time All Motor Sport (AMS) was organized at an IFO race, it was a Quick 16. The rules are simple... n/a, 4/6 cyl or rotary only, swaps allowed, exhaust/current registration/full interior required (dash, front seats, door panels), slicks OK for FWD only. It's becoming a very popular class, try it out!
how many cars normally run in SS at Boti? not allowed swaps must really hurt turnout?

normally theres only 4-6 cars in s/s but me and frank had a little talk in sac hopefully that will change for next year i like the idea ofthe (ams) class ut i think it should allow open header and who cares about tags
All Motor Sport class is for the daily driven street cars.
The full race chassis, wheelie bar, one piece front end All Motor cars race with the turbo cars in SFWD at IFO.
I like the idea of exhaust and tags because thats what actually distinguishes a car from actually being streetable vs. just a street class car. The tighter restrictions would distinguish the two classes better and better serve the majority of lower level racers who the class is intended for.
i say we allow crx and civic eg to run b16a's and ek's to run b16b if i was to go out an buy a jdm ctr i think it should be allowed in street stock what do u guys think????
