need some tranny help ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a hydro gsr transmission that i put a new 3rd gear and 3/4 syncros in so i get it all back 2gether start the car no noises so i put it in reverse and start 2 back up and its good as i push in the clutch i get a big jolt like i hit something but nothings there so i try it again and thing kinda feels like i'm hitting the brakes but i'm not so i keep the clutch pushed in and its fine so i move forward and its good i put the car in neutral let off the clutch and boom car lurks forward and stalls so i try it again and same thing so appanently i have no neutral its like its stuck in gear but the shifter moves 1-4 and into reverse no prob just doesnt dis-engauge when i put the car in netral im think that the 3/4 slider is in upside down has anyone ever had this problem before????? or deos anyone have a gsr trans assembly diagram??
thats what im thinking because it has like these 1/2 teeth on it i think i have it upside down and its stuck in 4th gear i'm gonna look at it 2 morrow morning im trying to find a diagram of how the shafts go 2 gether
obviously did something wrong. i remember when i was first pulling my trans apart for the first time it came in & out of the car 3 times in one weekend. 2wice in one day & 1nce the next day. learned alot that weekend. lol
I put that giant bearing in upside down one time. It caused all of my 5th/reverse synchros and stuff to melt together and it wouldnt ever stay in 4th gear before everything melted.
3-4 slider being upside-down probably won't cause this.
And I personally don't understand how it could be stuck in gear when having selected neutral; as, for you to select 1st or 2nd or whatever gear, you'd never be able to select them without destroying the trans since neutral would always be in a gear - and you can't select two gears at the same time with only one clutch system and one gear set). If this isn't the case and neutral is a selection point for a gear (as opposed to having a gear selected full time), then you physically wouldn't be able to proceed past the neutral point, as you can only move a slider assembly so far until it bottoms out on the gear cone/gear dog teeth.
So... you have a problem elsewhere that I've never heard of. lol

It's not a diagram, but pics are good.
